‘Catch a Fire’ was the first reggae record to become a hit in the United States and Europe, and its positive reception created the perfect environment for Bob Marley to become an icon of music history. SOLID ROCK – DEEP PURPLE & LYNYRD SKYNYRD
Solid Rock will consists of three special nights – with two bands that have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and a special invited guest – that provide a genuine celebration of rock music. Deep Purple and Lynyrd Skynyrd will finally return to Brazil, to play in Curitiba, at Pedreira Paulo Leminski, on Dec. 12; at Allianz Parque in São Paulo on Dec. 13; and Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro on Dec. 15. Tesla will accompany the two bands on its first tour of Brazil.

8th EDITION – FLOR CAFÉ BAZAAR
The Flor Café Restaurant is hosting the eighth edition of its Bazaar. The event will house stands selling jewelry, homemade jellies, books, air fresheners, kerchiefs stamped with art, clay skulls, handicrafts, women’s clothing, design items, and more. In addition, this year’s edition of the Bazaar, held at the Flor Café location in the Football Museum, will also include the participation of artisans and artists working in a variety of media.

GUERRILLA GIRLS
Are you ready for the Guerilla Girls? It was in answer to this question that the collective of feminist artists accepted the invitation from Adriano Pedrosa, artistic direct of MASP, and Camila Bechelany, assistant curator at MASP, to hold their first individual exhibition in Brazil. The Guerrilla Girls will provide a retrospective, with more than 100 of their iconic posters produced during nearly 30 years of their career.

New Year’s on Paulista Avenue includes special guests every year who perform for an excited crowd. There is also, of course, a fireworks show, which in 2016 consisted of 12 minutes of fantastic explosions of color and light to celebrate the New Year.
